▪ Brief

Bringing a new-build's electrical installation up to a proper smart home — including fixing a number of mistakes left by the previous work. New switches and circuits, a dedicated sub-panel for LED power supplies and Shelly RGBW PM Pro drivers, tunable-white (CCT) lighting with adaptive colour temperature and a manual override that always wins. Structured cabling with a UniFi Dream Wall as the network backbone and Home Assistant as central control over Shelly modules, blinds and the gate.

▪ Scope

  • /01 Corrected mistakes from the previous work — rewired unsuitable circuits, consolidated the LED power and tidied the cabling
  • /02 Dedicated sub-panel for LED power supplies and Shelly RGBW PM Pro drivers — separated from mains and actively cooled
  • /03 Tunable-white (CCT) lighting with adaptive colour temperature by time of day and a manual override that always wins
  • /04 Shelly 1PM / 2PM / i4 behind the existing switches — remote control and physical push-buttons without replacing them; where no live wire could be pulled, battery controllers hidden behind a normal-looking switch
  • /05 Structured cabling and a UniFi Dream Wall as the network and security backbone — LAN, AP and camera drops
  • /06 Home Assistant as central control — scenes, adaptive lighting, blinds, gate and garage door; ready for heating and cameras
